Drawing upon the tradition and techniques of her
ancestors, the Mayan People, Maria transforms clay into
her own "cosmovision" of form and colour. Gods,
goddesses, magnificent rulers, as well as legends and
traditions of Mesoamerican culture find interpretation in
her figurines, tile, fountains, funeral urns, incense
burners, door knobs, pots and bowls. |
